Applications are accepted for projects of one, two or three years in length. Funding is provided on a yearly basis. Multi-year projects are required to submit continuation applications each subsequent year to obtain funding for the next year.
Eligibility
In order to apply for APTR research funding opportunities, you must be an Individual member from a current APTR Institutional Member organization or the liaison to a current APTR Institutional Member. You must submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) to APTR briefly outlining the research activities for which you intend to apply. APTR forwards the LOI to CDC for informational purposes to ensure that adequate review panels are available to handle the applications.
Application Timeline
The timeline for submission varies each year. Generally the LOI cycle is announced in early January along with the program timeline. APTR announces the opening of the LOI cycle in its e-newsletter News Now! and on the members-only list serve APTRTalk.
